Pamela, interior designer and director of Studio Bide, Sydney

Pamela from Studio Bide is bringing dreams to life, one tile at a time.

Peter Yusuf - Aug 07, 2025

Sydney has a huge number of interior designers, and honestly, it is getting difficult to find someone who is focused on creating a space that people want to live in rather than creating a social media-worthy shot. Pamela has been transforming Sydney homes and offices for over 15 years, and she knows how to create spaces that are both beautiful and liveable.

From Passion to Profession: A 15-Year Journey

Pamela, Director of Studio Bide, has been shaping interiors for over 15 years. In that time, she’s learned a valuable truth: the best designs aren’t just about looks — they’re about how a space works for real people, in real life.

Based in Sydney, Studio Bide takes what they call a “holistic approach” to design. But do not let the fancy term fool you; it just means Pamela thinks about everything. How does the morning light hit your kitchen bench? Where do you put your keys when you walk in the door? These are the details that matter.

The Studio Bide Difference

Studio Bide offers everything you need to transform your space, whether it’s your family home or your office. Their services include interior design, concept design, architectural review, furniture styling and commercial projects. But what makes them different is how they approach each project.

As they explain on their website, “we will work closely with you to gain a deep understanding of the aesthetics that you want to set for your space, piecing together your aspirations for your dream space and how you want to feel in this space.”

A Process That Makes Sense

Studio Bide breaks down their work into five clear steps, starting with an initial consultation where they figure out your goals, budget, and timeline. Then comes concept design with space planning and 3D renders so you can see what they’re thinking.

The magic happens in the details; they handle everything from detailed joinery drawings to liaising with builders and trades during construction. And at the end? They take care of all the finishing touches with furniture and styling.

Why Sydney Chooses Studio Bide

Her diverse portfolio showcases everything from sleek modern apartments to heritage home restorations. It shows the variety of spaces they have worked on, from the Vaucluse Residence to commercial projects like 275 George Street Sydney and 452 Flinders Street, Melbourne. Each project reflects their ability to create what they call “a place you can call your sanctuary.”

What matters is the journey. As Studio Bide puts it, they offer clients “a personalised experience and design journey to create their dream space.” This isn’t about imposing a signature style; it is about discovering what makes each space and each client tick.

How to Achieve the Modern Minimalist Look with Tiles

Aug 01, 2025

Picture walking into a space that instantly makes you exhale. Where every surface whispers calm, and clutter seems like a foreign concept. That is the magic of minimalist design, and in this case, tiles are your secret weapon for achieving a zen-like atmosphere.

But here is the secret that many miss: true minimalism is not about emptiness or cold, sterile surfaces. It is not about intentional beauty, and tiles are your paintbrush for creating this masterpiece. The right tiles can transform your home from chaotic to calm, creating that coveted “less is more” aesthetic that is taking Australian homes by storm.
