Thassos is quarried in northern Greece and it is one of the whitest marbles available. The difference next to Carrara is immediate.

Small Thassos dots land at every basketweave intersection across a Carrara marble field. Carrara brings the veining; Thassos brings a brightness that pulls the whole sheet cooler and cleaner. Both stones are honed. On a mosaic bathroom tile wall the two whites sit together without competing. On a kitchen splashback it is a quiet surface behind most cabinetry.
